Amphenol has been designing and manufacturing electrical and electronic connectors since the company’s inception in 1932. For nearly a century, we’ve been helping customers transmit power, data and signal in the harshest environments, from subsea applications to the outer reaches of space and everywhere in between. RS Connector System
Bernd Richter offers its own connector system which is universally applicable for medical applications. Available in a variety of colors, sizes and both straight and right angled, the RS connectors can be produced with up to 12 contacts for maximum design freedom.

Rugged MRD Series Circular Locking Connectors
MRD series connectors are available in 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8, and 9 position form factors. Housing options include all plastic constructions as well as metal locking bodies for greater durability. Locking options include 1/3 turn bayonet locking as well as quick-release metal latches. Panel mount and cable termination options are available with or without finger-proof protection.
Rugged MRU Series USB 2.0
Amphenol's MRU series of USB 2.0 Type A connectors provide IP67 protection for enclosures per IEC 60529. With data rates up to 480Mb/s, the connector series is designed to provide a standard USB interface for enclosures exposed to harsh environments. While these connectors are offered as mating pairs, the receptacles can also mate with any other standard USB 2.0 plug.

R-VPX
R-VPX is a ruggedized, high-speed, board-to-board interconnect system capable of data rates in excess of 10 Gbps, meeting and exceeding VITA 46 standards. This connector system gives users modularity and flexibility by utilizing PCB wafer construction with customized wafer-loading patterns.

R-VPX Evolution 2.0
R-VPX Evolution 2.0 is the next generation of high-speed ruggedized backplane connectors. Evolution 2.0 series connectors are designed, optimized and qualified to data rates in excess of 32Gb/s making these connectors the fastest VITA 46.30 connectors in the world. They are tested to VITA levels and are backward intermateable with R-VPX, R-VPX EVO 1, and VITA 46 qualified connectors.

SAS 3.0 Connectors
SAS 3.0 connectors for next-generation servers with 12Gb/s speeds. The 29-position receptacle and plug connectors feature hot-plugging and blind-mating, connector misalignment compensation, and a PCB retention mechanism for robust SMT attachment. It is SATA compliant and meets a wide range of vertical and R/A configurations for usage across server and storage equipment, HDDs, and HDD carriers.

SAS 4.0 connectors for next-generation servers with 24Gb/s speeds. The 29-position receptacle & plug connectors feature hot-plugging & blind-mating, connector misalignment compensation, and a PCB retention mechanism for robust SMT attachment. It is SATA compliant and meets a wide range of vertical and R/A configurations for usage across server and storage equipment, HDDs, HDD carriers, and SSDs.
SAS/PCIe 3.0 (U.2) Connectors
SAS/PCIe 3.0 connectors are designed for next-generation servers with 12Gb/s speeds. The 68-position, SAS/PCIe receptacle, and header enable high-speed Serial Attached SCSI (SAS) hard disk drive (HDD) interface as well as Peripheral Component Express (PCIe)-based devices. These connectors are backward compatible with 6Gb/s SAS, SATA, and 3Gb/s SFF8482 connectors.
SAS/PCIe 4.0 (U.2&U.3) Connectors
SAS/PCIe® 4.0 (U.2 & U.3) connectors come with 16GT/s (PCIe® lanes) or 24Gb/s (SAS lanes) speeds to meet the demands of next-generation servers. The 68-position, SAS/PCIe® receptacle and header enable implementation of high-speed SAS hard disk drive (HDD) interface as well as PCIe®-based devices. The molded guidepost allows the device plug and receptacle to self-align during the mating process.
