The combination of the well-known PT15/PTC15/PS15 control potentiometers with a Detent Control Mechanism (DCM) affords the appliance designer the possibility to solder the potentiometer onto the Control PCB assembly and then, in a second operation, assemble the DCM over it. This removes the need to build Detents into the User front panel of the appliance, simplifying, and significantly reducing the total cost of the solution.
The detent torque can be modified according to Customer requirements (depending on the input dial’s diameter, etc) as can the number and position of the detents.

Designed with the sensor directly mounted onto a PCB, the innovative MTS-360 Sensor/PCB Combo package allows engineers to easily mount a fully featured rotary sensor without first having to design a printed circuit board for the sensor. The result is time-savings and convenience.
The MTS-360 Sensor/PCB assembly is available with or without 2.54 mm pitch connector, both easily secured with standard M3 screws. The entire assembly measures just 35mm wide by 36mm long, allowing for applications with tight packaging constraints.
The new MTS-360PCB Mechanical Mount sensor model incorporates all the breakthrough sensor technology performance features of the original MTS-360 by merging a through-shaft design with 360º absolute position feedback in a small size package. The result is an extremely small fully featured rotary sensor with reliability up to 50 million cycles. The MTS-360 relies on patented Hall effect technology to enable true non-contacting through-hole shaft sensing now using a simple three eared mounting. The standard model features a 4mm double D-flat through-hole and (3) slotted mounting holes allowing final rotational adjustment at assembly.
The MTS360 provides a true breakthrough in contactless sensor technology by combining a through-shaft design with 360º absolute position feedback in an ultra miniature size. The result is the smallest fully featured rotary sensor on the market with reliability up to 25 million cycles.
The MTS 360 relies on patented Hall effect technology to enable for the first time true non-contacting through-hole shaft sensing using standard SMD features.
The device offers electrical angles up to 360° with no dead band and linearity as low as ±0.5%. Rated for use at -40ºC to +150ºC, the sensor can operate up to 300 rpms and can be programmed with full scale output with angles shorter than 360 degrees. Thermometrics Outside Air Temperature Sensor (OAT) measures the temperature outside of a vehicle's passenger compartment. It relays the outside air temperature to the controller of the automatic HVAC system. The controller uses this temperature to help control the interior temperature of the vehicle. The sensor also provides the vehicle occupants with temperature readings from outside the car. This information is particularly useful when driving under near-freezing or freezing conditions. The sensor is usually mounted inside or near the front bumper or in the side mirror.

This product family has been specifically developed to allow the integration of otherwise large and expensive external mechanisms into the body of the majority of the 6, 10 & 15 mm potentiometer series thus allowing a high range of configurations: special tapers, tolerances, linearity, cut track, etc.
This detent design not only adds a "click" sensation of position, but also offers enormous savings in both cost and space for any given application.
Strong and weak detents can be mixed as per cutomer´s request.
- Replacement for:
• Existing customer detent mechanisms.
• Multi-pole switches.
• 3 or 4-bit absolute encoders (connecting to microprocessor analogue input).
- Analogue signal presets.

- Relay Timers.
PT´s with detents also lend themselves perfectly to industrial and domestic power tool applications where the detents prevent accidental movement of the potentiometer under vibration.

Powerlug is a power cable termination technology utilizing high pressure to mechanically deform copper wire strands and a copper sleeve to form a controlled width lug. Powerlugs can be used for single wire, multi-wire, splice, or braided cable power solutions. Powerlug technology is an excellent replacement for standard crimp lug applications especially where thermal/electrical performance, reliability, and cost are of primary concern.
