1750 series - Junction Modules

Amphenol Air LB France 1750 series consists of Quick junction modules for signal and low current distribution, where sealing (IP66 / IP68 and IP69K), space and weight-saving are prime requirements. Specifically suited for wiring optimization, then offering weight and cost savings, these track-mounted distribution modules (on metallic or composite track) are available from 8 contacts size 12 up to 36 contacts size 22 in different contact configurations. They also come in hybrid or ground versions, as well as PCB or component carrier versions. Fully REACH / RoHS compliant and conform to ABD0031 and FAR 25853 (Fire, Smoke and Toxicity).

1765 Component Carrier Module

2M Connectors

The 2M Series is a superior and versatile connector designed and tested to mil-spec standards, comparable to MIL-DTL-38999. 38999 Stand-off

Stand-off receptacles for 38999 allow to fix directly the connector to the board with 3 or 4 screws. The square flange and jam nut receptacles are equipped with PC tail contacts and stand-off. This feature avoids the use of fastening device during the soldering process and ensures a perfect grounding between the shell of the connector and the ground of the board.

RF Cable Assemblies

Cable Reel

Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) offers the rugged, deployable ARES (Amphenol Reel Enhanced System) reel for tactical fiber optic network applications.

The ARES reels are made with reinforced glass nylon providing a rust-resistant, lightweight and durable reel for storing and deploying fiber optic cable assemblies. Integrated slots on the reel allow them to be stacked together for storage and transit. The ARES reel also has separate payout and storage areas allowing the operator to deploy cable needed rather than the entire stored length.

AFSI’s ARES reel comes in a variety of sizes to support multiple cable lengths and types. In addition, cleaning kits can be specified to support all popular harsh environment connectors including AFSI’s TFOCA, TFOCA-II®, TFOCA-III®, TACBeam® and Pierside. ARINC 801 Fiber Optic Termini

Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) offers a fully-compliant ARINC 801 fiber optic terminus for aerospace and military applications. The AFSI ARINC 801 uses a standard 1.25 mm ferrule and sleeve and can be terminated with standard LC termination procedures. The terminus can be inserted, or removed, from the connector with a standard size 16 contact removal tool. The terminus is available in both multimode and single mode versions. The fiber optic contact provides low insertion loss (0.3 dB max, multimode) and backreflection (-55 dB, APC). In addition to the standard PC end-face option, AFSI’s ARINC 801 is offered with an APC end-face for those applications requiring reduced backreflection. 

The terminus is highly flexible and is used primarily in ARINC 801, 600, 404, 781 and EPXA/B multi-channel connectors. The fiber optic contact is offered in with a pull-proof feature (allows the use of the contact in a connector without a strain-relief backshell) configuration, for both tight and loose tube cable.

Circular Hermetic Connectors

Amphenol offers superior electrical performance plus the rugged design of a glass-sealed or epoxy-sealed connector. Amphenol glass-sealed hermetic connectors are available in a wide variety of Mil-Spec and custom configurations. Amphenol epoxy-sealed connectors are a lightweight alternative to glass-sealed hermetic connectors.

D38999 Fiber Optic / Hybrid Cable Assemblies

Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) designs and manufactures world class harsh environment fiber optic connectors and cable assemblies for the military and aerospace markets. Cable assemblies built with D38999 connectors, used in military, avionics, and industrial applications, are a cornerstone offering in our industry leading product line, along with TFOCA-II®, M28876 and expanded beam cable assemblies.

The D38999 circular connector series is designed for harsh environments, particularly those with wide temperature ranges and high mechanical vibrations. This electrical connector is adapted for fiber optics by using M29504/4 and /5 termini. These termini fit into any size 16 contact cavity. 

Precise alignment is critical to fiber optic connectors. The tightly toleranced fiber optic D38999 connectors ensure precise alignment with precision machined polarization keys and keyways which reduce radial misalignment. This precision yields superior optical performance when compared to standard D38999 connectors. Tight tolerance D38999 connectors also have a positive bottoming surface and conductive surface plating, assuring exceptional EMI/RFI performance.

All D38999 connectors feature a non-conductive insert making this a great connector choice when optical fibers and electrical wires must be used in the same connector. The D38999 series offers a wide range of shell sizes, backshells and insert patterns. Standard contacts and termini are available making any design simple and cost-effective.

FS115 LowPro Low-Profile, Fiber Optic Connectors

Amphenol Fiber Systems International(AFSI) offers the LowPro series of low-profile, fiber optic connectors. The FS115 LowPro has a height of 0.25" making
it ideal for edge-card connections and other applications that require minimal connector profiles. Using field-proven M29504/14 & /15 termini, this fiber optic connector has excellent optical performance with insertion losses of 0.35 dB (typical), 0.75 dB (maximum) and typical back reflection of -50 dB (single mode). 

The standard connector is offered with two fiber optic channels. Additional channels are available upon consultation with the factory. The FS115 LowPro is available in side mount, panel mount and inline configurations to support multiple mounting options. LowPro connectors are also offered in a wide variety of plating options and materials (aluminum, stainless steel, marine bronze and brass) to satisfy a wide range of harsh environments.

FS12 Pierside Fiber Optic Connectors

Amphenol Fiber Systems International’s (AFSI) FS12 fiber optic connector is for harsh environment, broadcast and pierside applications. This connector is available in either single mode or multimode and uses field-proven MIL-PRF-29504 termini. 

The 12-channel FS12 Pierside connector design provides flexibility for current and future Navy communication requirements both afloat and ashore. This connector
is also ideal for high fiber-count tactical broadcast networks. 

Removable termini, qualified to MIL-PRF-29504 specifications, enables quick connector reconfiguration and field maintainability.

HD38999 Connectors

Not only is it simple to install, it is also easy to remove the aramid yarn of the cable (KEVLAR®) captivation and recapture without cutting back the cable. M29504/14 & /15 Fiber Optic Termini; M28876 Termini

M29504/14 & /15 termini from Amphenol Fiber Systems International (AFSI) are qualified to MIL-PRF-29504E specifications. This series of fiber optic termini provide superior optical and mechanical performance and are compatible with M28876 and comparable military-style connectors. Unlike other M29504/14 & /15 designs, the AFSI design is precision engineered allowing the ferrule to press fit and bottom out within the terminus bodies. This strict tolerance management eliminates loose fit or epoxy construction and yields better overall performance under stressful environmental conditions.

The M29504/15 features a ceramic alignment sleeve maximizing its ability to hold extremely tight dimensional tolerances while maintaining accurate concentricity, providing superior mechanical and optical performance.

Our MIL-DTL- 38999 Series III threaded circular connectors feature a unique inner clutch design providing enhanced anti-vibration and anti-decoupling capability - actually tightening itself under vibration, which provides advantages in hard to reach areas.
